About Me
Hello everyone,
My name is Felisha, I am of a West Indian background but grew up in East London . I am an experienced nursery teacher/nanny who has been working in childcare for over 10 years with children aged 1-5years old.
Recently i finished studying and i am now qualified in business leadership and management- as well as childcare qualifications. I am a very creative person and so i encourage children to express themselves through mark making and to also explore other materials. Through creating a fun, loving, healthy environment together i believe we can support and encourage the children’s interest in learning.
In my role as a nanny i have gained ‘nannyships’ with fellow nannies/child minders through playgroups. Together we continued to build bonds by creating new opportunities for our children to play and learn through organised playdates.
Outside of childcare i enjoy travelling, music (singing is one of my passions) going to concerts, reading, swimming as well as training at the gym.
My Experience
I have 4years experience as a TA in a primary school. 2years experience as a nursery nurse and 4+ years as a room leader/teacher in the pre-school room at a local childrens centre (OFSTED rated as OUTSTANDING)
I have the been in the nanny world for 6+ years now and i love every moment! I experience new things everyday and meet new people through these experiences.
In the past i have tutored children in English and maths as i have been trained in delivering phonics.
I have just updated my first aid training and i am currently in the process of updating my DBS.
I live in Essex but i currently work in Hackney- willing to travel and have my own car.

Usually quite flexible from Monday-Thursday
