Hello, I’m Laura, (43) and I’ve arrived to london 6 years ago. I have more than 20 years of experience taking care of children (newborns to 10 years old)
I’m finishing my maternity nurse course in maternity nurse on Babyem and I plan to continue with holistic sleep training and Montessori afterwards.
I started this job when I was 18 years old on the country side in Patagonia (Argentina) and I've been doing it since then, in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Tulum (Mexico), La Spezia (Italy), St Barthélemy and this past 5 years in SW London, with love and devotion, because it’s a very important job to help them to develop in every aspect, help them to become independent, to feed their curiosity, face fears from a safety perspective and learn to self regulate through enjoyment and learning activities with love and my full attention.
I'm a professional musician and a chef, so I'm more than happy to prepare healthy and tasty food and also stimulate their love for music and dance.
I use all my resources and our imagination to create worlds of fantasy and games without using TV. I love reading and singing to them as well as taking them outside to the nearest park to breath some fresh air interact with other children or be in the nature and feed the ducks or the squirrels. If the weather is very bad at least a walk around the area with our rain clothes so we keep active.
The first month is a time I will use to get familiar, to learn their interests to be able to really connect with them and to learn about the parents approach to have a unified speech, because I’ll be an extension of you.
I had the privilege to choose the families I worked for as much as they choose me, my intention is to become like family, able to rely on each other and that’s how I care for the beautiful babies I look after, they are my family too.
I'm Argentinian- Italian, I’m a native Spanish speaker and fluent English and Italian.
I'm a good time keeper, reliable and flexible. I can provide references of other parents who I've worked for.
