About Me
I provide caring, reliable childcare in the comfort of your own home, helping children feel safe, happy and settled in their familiar environment. With experience working in a preschool setting and as a parent myself, I understand the importance of creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere while maintaining routines and boundaries.
I enjoy engaging children in age-appropriate activities, including creative play, reading, games and outdoor activities where appropriate. My aim is to ensure children are well cared for, entertained and supported while giving parents peace of mind that their child is in safe and capable hands.
I am friendly, patient and dependable, and I understand that every child and family is unique. I am happy to adapt to your family’s routines and individual childcare needs.
My Experience
I have several years of hands-on experience working with children in different settings. I previously helped run a preschool, where I was involved in daily routines, learning activities, and supporting children’s development across different age groups. I also supported my mum with her childminding work, which gave me further experience in caring for children in a home-based environment.
Alongside this, I’m a mum myself, so I have day-to-day experience caring for children and understanding their needs in real life, not just in a professional setting.
I’ve also been babysitting since I was around 14/15, mainly for neighbours and local families, which helped me build confidence early on with children of different ages and personalities.
In terms of training, I’ve completed several accredited courses, including an autism awareness course and other childhood development / additional needs training. I’m always interested in learning more about children’s behaviour, development, and wellbeing, which is part of why I’m currently studying psychology with a focus on child development.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (NVQ Level 3), along with several years of practical experience working with children in both preschool and home-based settings.
I have also completed my GCSEs (including Maths and English), as well as additional qualifications in ICT and Travel & Tourism.
Alongside my formal qualifications, I’ve completed a number of accredited training courses relating to child development and additional needs, including autism awareness and adverse childhood experiences/trauma-informed practice.
I am currently studying Psychology with a focus on child development and am working towards progressing onto a Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology.
I am also trained in paediatric first aid (previously certified, happy to renew if required).
My Availability
Available any hours needed avoiding school drop-off and pick-up.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£10 per hour. Babysitting and childcare provided in your home. Friendly, reliable and experienced, with a background in preschool work. Available for regular or occasional childcare arrangements.
