Long-Term After-School & Holiday Nanny Required

We are looking for an experienced, caring nanny to become an important part of our family.

We have three wonderful children: two daughters aged 9 and 6, and a 1 year old son. Our daughters attend the local primary school (15 min walk from our home), and our son will be with his childminder until 3pm (about 25 min walk from our home or short bus ride).

Term Time Hours
Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
(an option exists for a 12:45pm start if of interest which we can discuss)
Friday: 8am – 6pm.

School Holidays
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm

About the Role
Our daughters attend a local primary school, approximately a 15-minute walk from our home, finishing at 3:20pm. The children have various after school activities that they will need to be taken to and collected from (all are local).

During term time, the role involves collecting the girls from school and our son from his childminder before caring for all three children until we return from work at 6:00pm. On Fridays we will require the nanny to look after our son for the full day as his childminder is closed on Fridays.

During school holidays, you'll care for all three children throughout the day, planning engaging activities both at home and out and about.

We both have demanding careers, so we're looking for someone who is highly dependable, proactive and genuinely interested in building a long-term relationship with our family. We'd love to find a nanny who brings warmth, fun and consistency to our children's lives.

About Our Area
We live in a lovely, family-friendly neighbourhood with lots of parks and green spaces within walking distance. Many of our daughters' school friends live nearby, so playdates are a regular part of family life.

The girls attend local clubs and activities, all of which are easily accessible on foot, by bus or by car.

Start Date
Ideally December 2026, allowing time for a gradual settling-in period before the role begins in full in the New Year.

E12, East London
Excellent transport links via Manor Park (Elizabeth Line) and Wanstead (Central Line).

A confident driver with a full, clean UK driving licence would be preferred, although this is not essential. We have off-street parking available, and most day-to-day activities are accessible by walking or public transport.

Responsibilities
• Providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our children.
• School pick-up and collection from the childminder.
• Taking the children to clubs, activities and playdates.
• Planning fun, age-appropriate activities at home, including reading, crafts, and imaginative play
• Supporting the children with any homework or extra-circular activities
• A confident cook - preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Keeping children's bedrooms, play areas and belongings clean and organised.
• Washing, ironing and putting away the children's clothes.
• Changing the children's bedding weekly.
• Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy after preparing meals for the children.
• We're looking for someone who is an experienced nanny with at least 5 years' professional childcare experience, including caring for babies and children under 2.
• Warm, kind, reliable and organised.
• Energetic and enthusiastic about planning adventures, outdoor play and creative activities.
• Confident managing children of different ages.
• Paediatric First Aid trained.
• Holds an enhanced DBS check.
• Fluent in English.
