Gabby is, quite simply, exceptional!

It is with both deep gratitude and genuine sadness that I write this letter of recommendation for our incredible childminder, Gabby. For over four years, Gabby has cared for both of our daughters, starting when they were just six months old and continuing through to school age. She has been an essential part of our family’s life—offering not only professional, reliable childcare but also love, kindness, and consistency that has helped shape our children into the happy, confident girls they are today.

From the very beginning, we felt completely at ease leaving our children in her care. She is warm, nurturing, and endlessly patient. Our daughters adore her, and not just in a “they like their childminder” kind of way, but in the way a child loves someone who makes them feel safe, heard, and cherished every single day. Gabby has truly become like a second mother to them.

What sets Gabby apart is the perfect balance she strikes between being loving and fun while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries. Children respect her because she respects them, and they thrive under her gentle guidance. Her home is a place of laughter, learning, and calm structure, and we’ve always been amazed by how smoothly things run in her care.

We trust Gabby completely, not just with our children’s safety, but with their emotional wellbeing and development. She has celebrated their milestones with us, comforted them (and us!) through tough days, and has shown genuine care and dedication every step of the way.

The only reason we are parting ways is due to a change in my work schedule. This decision has been an incredibly difficult one for our family, and we are truly devastated to say goodbye. Gabby has had such a profound and positive impact on our children’s early years, and we know we will never find another like her.

To any parent considering Gabby as a childminder: you are incredibly lucky. Finding someone like Gabby is rare. We could not have imagined anyone better to look after our children, and we will be forever grateful to her for the love and care she has shown our family.

The best

Gabby is lovely, friendly and excellent with kids. My kids had an amazing time under her care. I would highlight her warmth, her fairness, regular feedbacks and her amazing cooking skills.
I have no hesitation in recommending her to any family seeking childcare.

The BEST childminder & home from home ever!

Gabby is honestly the best there is!!! Long review but worth the read I promise!
Gabby looked after my daughter from when she was approx 6 months old through to she was 2 and half. We only stopped as we moved 45 minutes away (we were gutted the commute wasn’t feasible at the time ).

As a first time mum, I was anxious about finding a childminder for my daughter at such a young age, but Gabby completely took that feeling away and provided a home from home for my daughter. She really did look after my child as if she were her own.
Gabby was fantastic in making sure Sienna routine under her care was the same as when she was at home with us. She kept very concise diary for us noting everything from when she fed, how much, exact nap and wake times, even down to how many nappy changes etc. When Sienna started to eat & wean, Gabby was brilliant in helping us with the transition and ensured she ate nutritious varied meals, keeping note of Siennas favourites and dislikes. Sienna eats do many varieties of foods now and that’s thanks to Gabby.
Gabby helped to teach Sienna some basic Spanish in her time, and she still often speaks it (very proudly asking anyone that will hear “como estas?” and “donde los manos?” - again we are so thankful as Sienna has expressed a huge interest in wanting to learn more Spanish.

She helped us to potty train Sienna from
Nappies to none, and provided much encouragement for Sienna (and us!).

At every step or milestone for both Sienna and us as parents, Gabby was truly amazing, teaching Sienna and providing the best care we could ask for.

Gabby effectively helped us to raise our daughter and honestly I could not have wished for a better person to do so. Her warm heart and love for the kids in her care is like no other.

We have a new baby in the family and when the time comes for needing a childminder, I wouldn’t hesitate in choosing Gabby in a heartbeat, the 20mile commute is worth every minute!
