Part Time Nanny Job in Richmond
About Me
We are looking for an experienced nanny-housekeeper to care for our children part-time during term time and full-time during school holidays. We are a family of five living in Richmond, with two daughters aged 13 and 11, both at secondary school, and a son aged 7. Our home is non-smoking and we have no pets. We would love to welcome someone who enjoys spending time with children and helping family life run smoothly. Above all, we want you to feel like a trusted, valued part of our household.
My Requirements
Looking after the children is the priority in this role, alongside helping with everyday household tasks such as preparing their food and doing laundry. We have a regular cleaner, so you would not be responsible for the main cleaning. We would love to find someone kind, caring, proactive and organised, who enjoys having fun with the children and providing clear, consistent boundaries when needed. A full driving licence is essential, as our son needs collecting from school twice a week and takes the school bus on the other days.
Start date:
January 2027
Hours:
Term-time: Part-time, Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm–6.30pm
School holidays: Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-6.30pm
There may be some flexibility for the right person, so please do talk to us about your availability.
Responsibilities will include:
-- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the children and supervising dinner, taking account of their individual dietary needs: our son has coeliac disease and our oldest follows a pescatarian diet
-- Managing our son's afternoon collections: driving to collect him from school twice a week and meeting him at the school bus stop on the other two days (walking distance), plus driving to an after-school club once a week
-- Helping the children stay on track with homework: supervising our son's work and offering occasional reminders and support to our daughters, who are quite independent
-- Helping with online supermarket orders
-- Laundry for the household
-- During school holidays, looking after all three children, including supporting playdates and driving them to camps and activities
Requirements:
-- Prior childcare experience essential
-- Valid, up-to-date first aid certification
-- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
If this sounds like the right role for you, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with a little about your relevant experience, your availability from January 2027 and whether the term-time and school-holiday hours would work for you. We would be happy to talk through the role and answer your questions, and look forward to getting to know you.
