Hi, I’m Ella!
I’m a qualified childcare professional with a rich background in both early years and school-age care. I was previously an Ofsted-registered childminder when my son was a baby, and now that he’s 7 and in school, I’ve been working as a Sports Coach in his primary school. Alongside that, I’m studying Psychology part-time at university. I surely like to keep busy! :)
I’m currently looking for extra work as a regular weekend nanny and/or emergency babysitter, especially during weekends and half-terms. While I enjoy my current job, I would be open to a full-time nanny role if the right opportunity came along.
I hold an up-to-date DBS, am first aid trained, and have relevant childcare qualifications, which I’m happy to bring to any interviews. I also have a strong understanding of special educational needs and learning difficulties, and I can provide excellent references from the many families I’ve worked with over the years.
I speak fluent English and Italian, as well as conversational Spanish and French, and I know thousands of nursery rhymes from around the world :D
When working in your home, I’m happy to help keep things tidy and do light chores related to the children. However, just to be clear, I’m a professional childcare provider, not a cleaner and I won't clean your house.
I’m currently available on weekends and during half-term holidays, but feel free to reach out even if have different requirements; I am happy to chat about it and see if I can help.

My two year old son started with Elena in September 2019. At first, he didnt like it but Elena was very patient and caring, within a week or two he loved being there. Elena will always occupy the children with fun activities, fresh meals and my son loved being there! Sadly due to personal reason we had to leave! My son was very sad and still ask about her and Casper. She also provided flexible hours for parents who works shift patterns. I highly recommend her.

Elena is amazing. She has many ideas and organises many activities to encourage children to explore the world through play. She also cooks healthy meals and pay a lot of attention to children nutrition. Her setting is lovely, well organised and very clean. Also, she spends time outdoor to let children to explore and experience nature. My daughter adores her and enjoyed every single moment. Definitely recommend her. She is the best of the best.

I met Elena almost a year ago in one of the playgroups we used to attend together, she was friendly and kind in introducing herself and her baby. She told me she was studying to become a childminder and we exchanged our numbers as I was planning to go back to work. She wasn't a childminder yet when I started to work again, so I sent Charlie to another one nearby, but I called Elena more than once when I was desperately in need of a babysitter for some evenings and she was always available to help.
My son, Charlie, loves her and I felt so relaxed at work knowing he was in good hands.
It's been such a lovely surprise to find her in here; I was looking for a nanny for the evenings and here she is.
