Part Time Nanny Job in Kentish Town
About Me
French mother of a 11 year old daughter and a 7 year old son
My Requirements
Hi,
We are a family of 4, with a 11 year old daughter Léna and a 7 year old son Timéo.
We will need an after school nanny from September 2026, 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from approximately 3:30pm to 7:15pm. Start time can be flexible up to 5pm.
We live in Kentish Town very close to the Tube station and our kids go to the local French bilingual school CFBL.
The main duties will be:
- picking Timéo from school at usually 3:30pm, taking him to his activities, assisting him with his homework, taking him to the park...etc
- making sure both Léna and Timéo have their showers and are fully ready for dinner when we get back from work
- keeping the kids bedrooms and playroom tidy (we have a weekly cleaner)
We will have dinner with the kids as a family when we come back from work so there is no need to prepare and give the kids their dinner.
If more hours are needed, we would be happy to:
- offer more hours during school holidays (full time would be ideal then)
- offer more hours during the day if the nanny is happy to cook for the family and/or be a housekeeper
- agree regular babysitting during evenings (for instance one evening every other week)
We are a French household, but we would prefer our nanny to speak English to our kids.
Our kids are fluent in both French and English, they were born in London.
Timéo is both a calm and a very sporty boy. He is currently obsessed with football and would happily spend his whole day just kicking balls. But he also enjoys spending quiet time at home and is usually very focused during homework sessions.
Léna is a very happy pre-teen, full of energy and empathy, who is about to start secondary school. She is more independent but she would definitely enjoy taking part in art and craft sessions and spending quality time with Timéo and our nanny.
What we mostly want for our nanny is to love our kids and make them happy. We want them to be happy to spend time with their nanny.
We are quite strict on having healthy eating habits, but mostly we want our kids to have fun and develop into confident, independent little persons.
Our nanny should have a very good English level (ideally native English but not required), Speaking French is a bonus but is absolutely not a requirement for the role. She should be non-smoker.
Ideally our nanny will stay with us long term and can be available to meet the kids before summer (which would also be an opportunity for our current nanny to give feedback on us).
Thank you,
Caroline.
