My Experience
My first job in childcare was working in an Early Years nursery as a nursery assistant, with children aged 3mnths to 4 yrs. I have also volunteered in a local primary school on and off over several years and helped within a range of primary classes. During my time studying for my undergraduate degree I worked as an after school nanny and did various ad hoc nanny jobs for local families with children of all ages. I have also nannied for 3 boys under 8 (8,5 and 3) full time for a year before returning to higher education to complete my teacher training.
My Qualifications
PGCE English with QTS.
English BA -2.1 - studied two modules on the acquisition of language particularly with a focus on children and their developmental stages
Access to Education - Merit - again, on this course, I studied in depth the developmental stages of children and looked at a variety of educational approaches in relation to this.
