My Summary
Warm, Creative & Eyfs‑Focused Childminder In Croxley Green (Malvern Way & Little Green)
About Me
Hi, I’m Laura — a warm, friendly and caring registered childminder based in Croxley Green. I offer a homely, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and confident. My approach is centred around learning through play, strong routines, and plenty of opportunities for socialising, and developing independence.
I’m Ofsted registered, DBS checked and paediatric first aid trained, and I follow the EYFS to support every child’s learning and development. I believe in building strong relationships with families and creating a calm, welcoming space where children can thrive.
My home is a cosy, family?friendly environment with a dedicated play space, creative resources and access to a safe garden. Children enjoy a balance of indoor and outdoor learning, including:
* Creative art?based activities to build fine and gross motor skills
* Sensory play, messy play and hands?on exploration
* Story time, singing, early phonics and early maths
* Socialising through local childminding groups
* Regular walks and outdoor adventures in Croxley Green
* Gardening and growing food both at home and at the Croxley Green allotments
I’m formerly a gallery manager working with artists, so creativity is a big part of our day. We paint, draw, build, sculpt, collage and explore materials in ways that help children express themselves and develop confidence.
I encourage independence, curiosity and problem?solving, helping children build the foundations they need for nursery and school.
I believe in healthy eating and involving children in understanding where food comes from. We grow fruit and vegetables together, learning about nature, seasons and caring for living things. Children love planting, watering, harvesting and tasting what they’ve grown.
My aim is to provide the perfect balance of warmth, creativity, structure and professionalism. Children in my care are encouraged to explore, imagine, learn and grow, all within a safe, loving environment that feels like home.
If you’d like to arrange a visit or ask any questions, I’d be delighted to chat.
