My Summary
About Me
My name is Emily and I’m an Ofsted registered child minder offering a nurturing and warm setting from my home in Holmer Green. I’m a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early years (PACEY), I’m paediatric first aid trained and DBS checked. I live with my husband, our two young boys and our cat.
I have a dedicated play area, providing a wide range of toys and activities in a safe and stimulating environment. We also have a good size garden space with lots of play equipment to aid physical development. All activities are planned to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as the needs of each individual child.
I am a Forest Childcare provider as I recognise the importance that outdoor learning has on a child, positively impacting their well being and development. I have two lovely woodland settings with beautiful walks in very close proximity of my home which provide daily opportunities to explore, teaching children to appreciate spending time in the natural environment.
As well as this, I am lucky enough to have a wonderful common and play park just 200 yards away. I visit toddler groups weekly and live a 10 minute walk from Dragon Sensory, which offers a fantastic sensory garden and rooms to explore and stimulate their minds.
My Experience
My main experience lies in raising my own two boys and absolutely loving these early years with them so I decided to become a child minder recently as I have a genuine love and passion for spending time with children, encouraging them to play and explore, and watching them develop and grow as a result of this. I’m a very positive person and my motto in life is to always try new things with a ‘can do’ attitude.
