My Experience

I have had many years of babysitting and English teaching (ESOL) experience with children from 6 -month- old babies to 12 -year- old children. I am also willing to help out with homework, and I like to try to give structure to a child's day, for instance, providing a snack, then doing some homework, then going out to play in a park or going for a nature walk if the weather is good, or playing a game if the weather is inclement. In addition, I can cook simple meals, provided the parents give instructions about what the children prefer to eat and how they like their food. Finally, I am happy to stay with children giving them a bath, story reading, and putting them to bed.

My Qualifications

I don't have any formal qualifications in Childcare but hope to be working towards an SVQ 2 in Early Years Childcare this year (2020) as I am waiting to be interviewed for a relevant job in nursery settings. Of course, I am happy to meet you and your children and also to have a trial day, if so desired. I realise that it depends on how I get along with your children, as to whether I am suitable or not.

My Availability

For now, I have a lot of availability, and this can also be negotiated to suit the parent or guardian. However, if I gain employment in a nursery school, this could change. I am also willing to look after children in the Edinburgh area as I also have a sister who lives in Edinburgh.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

This can be negotiated, though I would prefer to earn at least £15-20 an hour, and as I don't drive I would prefer it if some travel costs could be covered.
