I am a Mature lady (young at heart) with 2 grown up children. Ex Registered Community Childminder. (+ Special needs) Many years of experience. I am a very loving and warm individual and find that children settle with me very quickly.
I go out of my way to ensure that a child feels safe, secure, and happy, even if it means meeting up with the parents in different environments, i.e. such as the family's outdoor activities, so that I become more familiar to the child.
A child's welfare and happiness is paramount to me, and if I feel that a child has attachment issues, I would prefer to work with the parents to resolve this prior to placement.
My Experience
All relevent Childcare qualifications as well as raising my own 2 children. Worked with children from difficult backgrounds, and special needs, as a Registered Community Childminder and have also worked as a relief Nursery Nurse.
Experience in Insulin Dependent Diabetes & Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
