My Experience

Before starting my studies, I worked as a live-in nanny for a year with a lovely family, caring for twin babies as well as a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old. My responsibilities included school drop-offs and pick-ups, helping with homework, taking the children to after-school clubs, preparing meals, and managing bedtime routines, alongside full twin baby care during the day and evenings.
Keeping the children happy, engaged, and learning was a big part of the role, and something I genuinely loved. I’m still in touch with the family, and they’d be very happy to provide a reference. Since then, I’ve also taken on ad hoc babysitting, tutoring, and classroom assistant roles. I’ve got a solid understanding of child development thanks to my training in speech and language therapy, though it's important to note that I'm not yet qualified to offer professional speech therapy…just plenty of patience, encouragement, and very enthusiastic conversations :)

My Availability

Throughout January, I have all day Monday off but this will change to Wednesdays in February, with exception to the 25th Feb. I'm usually able to give a good amount of notice for my full-days off if this would help schedule your childcare. All evenings (after 5pm) and weekends available.
