My Summary

My Experience

I currently work as a beautician in a salon, but I have a strong background in childcare, having worked in a nursery for 7 years. For 6 of those years, I worked predominantly in the baby room, caring for babies from as young as 3 months through to 2 years old. I also have experience working with children of all ages up to 5 years old.

During my time in the nursery, I gained lots of experience caring for babies and toddlers and became very confident with their individual routines, feeding, changing, naps, activities and general day-to-day care. I really enjoyed working with the younger children and have always loved watching them develop and reach new milestones.

I also have several years of babysitting experience outside of the nursery. I looked after two brothers from when they were 1 and 3 years old, continuing to care for them as they grew to 2 and 4. I also looked after their sister from the age of 4 until she started school. On occasions, I cared for all three children together, so I am very comfortable looking after multiple children at once and managing different ages and needs.

I also babysat a boy from the age of 5 and continued to look after him as he grew up. I regularly babysat him in the evenings and occasionally at weekends, which gave me experience caring for an older child and supporting him as he became more independent.

Overall, I have a lot of experience with babies, toddlers and older children, both in a professional nursery environment and within families. I am caring, patient and responsible, and I really enjoy creating a fun, safe and comfortable environment for children.

My Availability

I’m currently looking for some occasional babysitting work, or potentially regular childcare on Monday and Tuesday mornings for a few hours. I currently work as a beautician, but the winter months tend to be a little quieter with lashes, so I’m looking to fill some of my spare time doing something I really enjoy — caring for children. ?

I’m particularly happy looking after babies and toddlers due to my extensive nursery experience, but I’m also comfortable caring for older children and multiple children at once.

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
