I have been childminding for 28 years .I have also been a Nanny more so lately due to parents/guardians changing needs & a babysitter,potty trainer also.Don’t hesitate to contact I’m here to help .I’m married to David and between us we have 4 grown up children living in their own homes.
Im registered with Care Inspectorate SCSWIS"(SOCIALCARE&SOCIALWORK IMPROVEMENT.My husband has a Disclosure Scotland and I have a PVG certificate which is a much more in depth check.I am been graded with the care inspectorate and graded an overall 5 on all childcare standards which is classed as very good.
I am a member of S.C.M.A and also have Public Liability Insurance with them.A full driving license and car insurance,childminding home insurance.And emergency backup plans in place.

I was also chairperson of EastKilbride childminding association and have been on the committee 4 times at 4 years a term ,this has helped a great deal in keeping up with Legislation and our care standards which is a legal requirement in our service.I regularly do training courses for my service.We are regulated the same as nurseries and schools.
My job prior to becoming a childminder was working in Social Work as a social workers assistant and accessing the needs of children in their home and working with families to improve difficult situations and aid and support everyone.When I had my own family I moved onto childminding .
I love childminding and do not class it as a job, more of a privileged position with always room for improvement.I do all this to create a happy and healthly stimulating environment for all age groups and make them feel as though they are home from home.. I have care plans for each child and will follow what ever you recommend is best for your individual child.

My Experience
I HAVE BEEN CHILDMINDING CONTINUALLY FOR 28 years .I HAVE COVERED ALL AGES FROM A 7WK OLD BABY FOR 3YRS TO A 5YR OLD FOR 6YRS.I HAD A FAMILY WHO BOTH CHILDREN CAME WITH ME STARTING AT 5MONTHS OLD AND WERE WITH ME 11YEARS IN MY SERVICE.
I HAVE HAD EVERY AGE GROUP AND ENJOYED LOOKING AFTER EVERYONE OF THEM.I STILL KEEP IN CONTACT WITH A LOT OF THE CHILDREN HAVING REGULAR VISITS WITH PAST FAMILIES.l HAVE A HUGE RANGE OF STIMULATING TOYS, BOOKS, GAMES,AND EDUCATIONAL TOYS.PARKS ARE ALSO CLOSE BY.
I ENJOY TAKING THE CHILDREN OUT TO PLAYGROUPS, TODDLERS GROUPS,SWINGPARKS,NATURE TRAILS,EXPLORING THE GREAT OUTDOORS.I RAN A SUMMER CLUB EVERY YEAR WITH ANOTHER CHILDMINDER WHICH HAD MANY ORGANISED EVENTS WE HAD AMAZINGCOMPLIMENTS EVERYYEAR,SADLY WE ARE STRUGGLING TO HIRE A HALL AS SLC ARE NO LONGER TAKING BOOKINGS.ALSO PARKS,YOUR NURSERY AND SCHOOLS.I HAVE A DAILY PLAN IN PLACE FOR EACH CHILD TO MAKE THERE VISIT MORE ENJOYABLE.(COVID HAS CHANGED HOW I RUN MY SETTING I TRY TO GET OUT AND ABOUT AS MUCH AS THE WEATHER PERMITS)
I AM FLEXIBLE AND LOVE THE FACT THAT THE CHILDREN IN MY CARE HAVE ALWAYS GIVEN ME GREAT FEEDBACK,AS WELL AS ALL PAST AND PRESENT PARENTS.
I WILL FOLLOW YOUR ROUTINES AND DO MY BEST TO MAKE YOUR CHILD FEEL INCLUDED IN AN ENJOYABLE,STIMULATING SMOKE FREE, SAFE ENVIROMENT, ENABLING YOUR CHILDREN TO GAIN SOCIAL AND PLAYING SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE THESE DAYS AS NORMAL AND POSITIVE AT ALL TIMES.WITH MY SERVICE THEY HAVE OTHERS TO PLAY WITH AND SOCIALISE GAINING LONGLASTING FRIENDSHIPS AND COMMUNICATION ABILITIES.

My son has been attending Linsay since October 2022. I’m so grateful that we found Linsay just in time for me going back to work after having my son, she provides pick up and drop off service which is really helpful for me as I don’t drive, Linsay always goes out her way to make things easier for myself and will even drop my son off to grandparents houses etc when required. My son loves going to Linsay they are always out and about doing things, he always has a great time. Linsay takes great pride in the care she provides for all her children in her care. I can always rely on her for good advice as well when it comes down to my son and going through different stages as I am a first time mum, it’s nice to have someone be so reassuring at times. Linsay will always keep in touch through out the day by sending me pictures of my son at toddler group playing and having fun, I always look forward to seeing his wee pictures and what he’s upto while he’s with her. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

Linsay came to my rescue when we first moved to Scotland and has been a really solid support to the boys and I since - she has taken the boys out for long days when I have really needed a break most. On top, she has been especially considerate of our family's needs and situation. She 'gets it' - she is great with the children and is able to set clear and reasonable boundaries which are much needed at times with 2 cheeky boys! She is reliable, trustworthy, a good resource and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any family.

Amazing review Janet .Thankyou very much nannying I’m really enjoying as I’m not just based from home & the boys are doing so well to the new changes.
I returned to full time work when my son was 9 months old and feeling anxious about leaving him. Linsay was amazing and made me feel totally at ease. Linsay has been so supportive and has helped us all into a routine. We are sent pictures daily and as well as a daily diary of how he has been. Linsay is part of our family and I can tell that Spencer loves spending time with her. She has offered advice with every stage of his development and I feel at ease when looking for support. A fantastic childminder and we are lucky to have you.

Emma thats a lovely review thank you so much and just love looking after your son.
After changing jobs and becoming full time again I was advised to try using a childminder instead of full time nursery by my sister. I found Linsay through the childcare website and on first meeting all my nerves of changing my childrens childcare were gone. Linsay made me and my children feel at ease and I felt more than secure leaving my children with her. In the two plus years my family have known her she has become more of a friend. She was very flexible with us and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Clare so sad your to lovely children are no longer with me but delighted that your family can help you out more now with your childcare needs.
Will definitely keep in touch to see how everyone is getting on and i will enjoy meeting up with you all again on a regular basis.
Being a first time mum the decision to go back to work and have a "stranger" look after my son was very hard, however after speaking to linsay for the first time i knew i had found the righgt person. Linsay is very easy going, knows her stuff and is very flexible. My son settled very quickly with linsay and enjoys all the activities. On my first day back at work i left linsay's house knowing my son would be well looked after. i would recomend linsay to my friends and family

Thanks Sheila for your good review,my service is totally geared round my parents and their children i really only pick up where you left off by following routines and keeping it as normal as possible and making sure eveyone is treated as an individual.I like to think that any children in my care are treated the same as my own children with TLC it must be working as i seem to have good relationships with my parents i think personally thats down to trust.
