About Me
We are a warm, and friendly family based in central Shrewsbury with three children aged 7, 5 and 4, and a new baby due in spring 2026. Both parents are professionals and will be returning to work later in the year.
We are looking for a calm, experienced and trustworthy nanny or mother’s help who enjoys supporting busy family life — someone confident caring for babies as well as older children, and happy to assist with light household tasks to help keep things running smoothly.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a reliable, nurturing part-time nanny or mother’s help to start gradually from mid-2026, with a formal start in September 2026 when our baby will be a few months old.
Hours: Initially 2 days per week, increasing to 3 days per week once settled. Some lighter hours may be available earlier. Days to be decided.
Duties:
• Care for the baby (feeding, naps, play, walks)
• Occasional help with our older children before/after school
• Light household support — tidying, laundry, and simple family meals
• Shared care at first, moving to sole charge
• Year-round position (with reduced hours in school holidays)
• Occasional evening babysitting and holiday nannying involving travel (UK or overseas)
The ideal person will be calm, experienced, organised and trustworthy, with solid experience caring for babies and managing a busy household. A DBS check, first-aid certificate and strong references are essential.
Start date: Around September 2026 (flexibility for earlier light hours)
Location: Central Shrewsbury
