Hi I'm Rachel I'm 33 and I have 2 daughters of my own. I am a confident, sociable and friendly person who has exceptional communication skills. I have a passion for providing excellent childcare to a diverse range of families. I love spending time outdoors whatever the weather (who doesn't love jumping in puddles?). At home I enjoy arts and crafts with my own little ones, we are regularly painting or gluing something! I try and make everything I do fun, even tidying up!
My Experience
I have always had a passion for working with children and have cared for children since I was 18 through babysitting. In 2015 I took a nursery assistant role in a day nursery and quickly progressed to deputy manager and safeguarding lead. I loved my time here and built excellent relationships with the parents and children. I had to plan activities that would support the children's development ,as well as, maintaining general routines such as nap and snack time. I left the nursery in 2018 to have my daughter. I have since been working with families in their own homes. My main responsibilities have included taking the children to and from school, homework, preparing snacks and meals, as well as, ensuring home routines carry on . During the half term I plan fun and interesting activities or outings to keep the children entertained. As well as working with families, I currently work in a local preschool with age ranging 2-5 years , two days a week. I have experience with children from birth up to 11 years.
My Qualifications
•Full secondary education received including 10 GCSEs including Maths and English
•CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
•Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT
•First aid trained
•Full clean drivers licence
•Clear DBS
I have also completed safeguarding and prevent duty training.
I can provide certificates upon an interview.
My Availability
I am ideally looking for a part time position. I am also available for occasional babysitting.
I'm available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during school hours, term time only. Weekends free for babysitting only.
