My name is Gosia, I am 42 years old, and I am registered as a childminder with the Care Inspectorate. I live with my husband and two sons, 15 and 12 years old.
Our home is situated in the Glen More Gardens in Kirkcaldy. I use the downstairs with a designed play room, which has access to an enclosed, large back garden. My home is non-smoking premises.
I became a childminder to allow me to care for my own children and offer quality service to other families. My aim is to provide a safe and homely environment where children can feel welcome and happy.
I am available to drop off and pick up to and from Torbain School and Nursery.
My Experience
As a busy mother of two, I am well aware of the demands and responsibilities involved in caring for children. I have no doubt that the experiences that I have had already with bringing up my own children help me in my role as a childminder. I enjoy looking after my sons a lot but I understand how challenging it can be to care for children with varying abilities, needs and interests.
In addition to the above I believe that experience & skills I have gained as a mother of two children will also assist me in providing a successful childminding service. At the same time I am fit and active individual with plenty of energy to provide children with stimulating environment with a wide variety of fun and educational activities.
My Qualifications
As part of my pre-registration training I successfully completed an induction course in childminding ran by the Scottish Childminding Association and approved by the Care Inspectorate. The course covered a wide range of subjects including child protection, health and safety, child development and behaviour management. I hold Pediatrics First Aid Certificate for babies and young children. I also hold current HACCP, Food Safety Level 3 and Allergen training. I have completed SVQ Social Services (children and young people) level 7. I believe it is vitally important to continue to further my training and refresh my skills in order for me to provide a good quality childcare service.
