My Requirements

I am looking for a very reliable and flexible nanny/housekeeper for my 7 year old boy and 8 year old girl.

The position is a part-time nanny for approximately 6 days/nights a month. They are both at school, so this would fit perfectly with another job that enabled school drop off at 8:45am and school pick-up at 3:15pm. This could be extended to breakfast club starting at 8am until after school club at 5:30pm, but that does make a rather long day for them.

Our flight schedules are published on the 12th of the preceding month. For example on 12th May I will know the days I need help in June. Sometimes you will need to be available to work weekends, which will sometimes be the whole weekend and sometimes just a Saturday morning or a Sunday afternoon. We try very hard to be at home ourselves on weekends, so we can spend time with our children, but we have little control over when we actually work. The work will usually involve an overnight stay. There are usually 2-3 periods of work a month totalling 6 days across the month.

My children like being outside, riding their bikes or scooters. They love trips to the park and anything that involves water or climbing things. They sleep well, go to bed at 7:30pm and very rarely wake up before 7am. They aren’t fussy eaters and will generally try most things. The children love animals and we have one cat.

My wishlist for a nanny is:

• Someone responsible who will make sound decisions regarding the children’s health and wellbeing in my absence.
• Someone who has lots of energy and will take the children outside on adventures at weekends or in the school holidays.
• Have your own car and insurance.
• Must be able to cook simple fresh meals from scratch.
• Drive the children to school, take them to their various clubs and birthday parties.
• As housekeeper while we’re away you will be in charge of keeping the house running. You would need to keep on top of the laundry, keep the house clean and tidy, undertake meal planning and grocery shopping for the period you are in charge, and look after the children as necessary. I have a weekly cleaner, so I don’t expect you to clean the house, but the place does need to be kept clean and tidy in between times.
