Welcome to Lucy's House Childminding
At Lucy's House Childminding, we provide a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn through play. Our setting is calm, nurturing, stimulating, and full of fun, giving your little one the perfect place to grow and thrive.
We enjoy regular outings to local playgroups, parks, and exciting day trips. With a Chester Zoo membership and National Trust pass, children benefit from hands-on learning experiences and adventures throughout the year. At home, creating arts and crafts, exploring sensory activities, and enjoying a wide range of age-appropriate activity boxes tailored to each child's stage of development.
I am proud to be graded 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted.

About Us
I have been childminding for eight wonderful years and absolutely love what I do. Children are naturally drawn to my kind, caring, and fun-loving nature, and I take great pride in creating strong relationships with both children and their families.
In April 2025, my husband Mark joined the business full-time, and together we work alongside our part-time assistant, Carol, to provide exceptional care and learning opportunities.
We are also proud parents to our two lovely sons, Oliver (10) and Dougie (8), who help make our family home a welcoming and lively environment.
Keeping You Updated
We use the BabysDays app to record your child's development, policies, permissions and contracts. We also share regular updates and photos throughout the day via WhatsApp, so you can see all the fun and learning your child is enjoying.
Activities are carefully planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping children learn, explore, and develop through play while having lots of fun along the way.
A Strong Childminding Community
As childminders working from our family home, we collaborate with nine other local childminders, sharing resources, organising playdates, and arranging entertainment and special events together. This gives children valuable opportunities to socialise while still receiving the individual attention they deserve.
We are also part of a wider network of 27 local childminders who regularly share advice, best practice, support, and enquiries. Together, we form a fantastic community dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare.

My Experience
I am Ofsted registered.
I have been a childminder previously, as an assistant for another local childminder.
In September 2018 I set up as a childminder in my own home and absolutely love it.
From Arpil 2025 we grew the business and my husband Mark began working with me full time.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid level 2
Safeguarding level 2
Designated Safeguarding Lead training
EDI level 2 Children and Young Peoples workforce
Completed all relevant childminding qualifications
My Availability

We am open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm, term time only.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Personalised day rate on request.

Additional hours from £6.50
All meals, outings, groups, activities, milk powder, nappies and wipes are included.
No fees charged for school holidays as I’m open term time only.
