Disclaimer- Please be advised I have a large female dog on my premises (Rottweiler) therefore please do not enquire if you/your child (ren) are not comfortable with dogs. We have had Ruby from a puppy and she is a huge part of our family. Rottweilers are a very protective family breed who are amazing with children. I have very specific safety measures in place to make sure that children in my care can experience looking after animals in a safe environment.
The benefits of having a dog around children have been proven to be very beneficial. It helps with their development and understanding of individual animal needs. Learning about respect and boundaries. In my home I teach children from a young age on the safety of approaching dogs and caring for them.
Hi I am Jessica. I am 33 years old. I currently live with my husband and our three boys aged 11, 8 and 3 years of age. I have many years experience of looking after children and would be more than happy to answer any questions. I have a EYFS diploma and paediatric first aid training. Level 3 safeguarding training. Being a mother myself I understand how important it is to feel secure and safe leaving your child(ren) with others. Therefore I would like to offer my like home to home services. I offer a spacious home with a fenced off garden that has a play house, mud kitchen, sand play and ride on toys. My set up consists of a separate converted garage which I use specifically as a play room for the children and also access to my house. In our household we enjoy the outdoors therefore I have an area for growing our own vegetables/ fruit and plants. I provide a smoke free home with a safe garden. I offer a large range of activities for all young children including most outdoor activities daily (weather permitting). We are a very active household and my own children enjoy being outside which is where children in my care will spend most of their time. Lots of play outdoor parks and exploring. Having my own vehicle I am able to take little ones to lots of different locations which is great for their development. Having a membership with English Heritage I am able to take little ones to many exciting places. I am very passionate about limiting screen time and using more engaging activities such as arts and crafts, role play, messy play.
My Experience
I have a great interest in looking after children and keeping them happy as it’s essential at a young age and part of a healthy upbringing. I pride myself on being very attentive to all the children in my care and offering a unique service. Children that come to my home are treated as my own children. I also have newborn experience as I am a mother to three children myself.

I am pleased to provide feedback on the care and support that Jessica Draper provides for our son, Zayn.
Jessica is an incredibly supportive and attentive childminder who clearly prioritises children’s development. She takes a thoughtful and individualised approach to Zayn’s learning, showing a strong understanding of where he is in his developmental journey and how best to support his progress. We feel this is greatly enhanced by her own experience as a parent of three children, which is reflected in her confidence, patience, and natural ability to nurture and guide young children.
The activities and resources she provides are of a very high standard. Her educational toys and planned activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and clearly designed to encourage learning through play. We have seen a positive impact on Zayn’s development since being in her care.
Jessica also places great importance on outdoor learning. She regularly takes the children outside, allowing them to explore, stay active, and learn in different environments. This balance between indoor and outdoor activities is something we value highly.
Communication is another key strength. Jessica keeps us well-informed throughout the day, providing updates on Zayn’s mood, wellbeing, and any concerns (for example, if he is teething or not feeling 100%). She also shares photos, which is reassuring and helps us feel connected to his daily experiences.
Overall, we are extremely happy with the care Jessica provides. She creates a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where Zayn is clearly happy, supported, and thriving.

These are just some of the words I'd use to describe Jessica's childminding. I was apprehensive at first as my son was only used to a nursery setting but he immediately settled with Jessica and the other children. She has a lovely clean home with a variety of toys. Jessica encourages outdoor and creative/imaginative play for babies and toddlers and takes great care of them. I feel totally at ease with my son being there. He's been there for 4 months now and I have been so happy with everything she has done for him.
