My Summary

My Experience

I currently have 2 years of experience of working as a teaching assistant in a primary school (year 1 and reception), and have also completed placement for my studies at a nursery. In both settings I have demonstrated key knowledge of how to support the children in their play and development. I always form very good attachments with all children.
For the past year and a half I have worked closely with various SEND children and have supported them both inside and outside of class. I have completed individual learning sessions with them, and have learned to adapt work to best suit their needs. I find it especially rewardful to work with SEND children as I can see how much of a positive impact I have made on them and how far their learning progress has come.
I have a level 3 qualification in Children’s Play, Learning and Development which has given me an Early Years Practitioner status. I have used this qualification to implement key learning skills in my different roles.
I have also been a volunteer with Girlguiding for many years, where I have assisted the smooth run of weekly after school sessions for girls aged 5-7 where we partake in crafts, fun activities and learning new skills to help develop them outside of school.
