About Me

Hello, I’m Heidi and working with children has been my profession since gaining my NNEB well over thirty years ago. I’m organised, sociable, love being outdoors, walking with our dogs, travelling, growing my own cut flowers and vegetables. I live in Westhall with my husband, together we have two daughters in their mid twenties and 2 small dogs. I’m a cheerful person, working part time at home (admin) but my first love is still working with children for whom I can provide a reliable, happy and supportive experience.

My Experience

I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1988 and worked as a Nanny with children 0-14 years in the UK and beyond. After having our daughters, I spent fifteen years with the Reception/Year 1/2 team at Bramfield Primary School as their Nursery Nurse, leaving in July 2019. During the past six years I have really enjoyed working more flexibly with private families again, as a Nanny ~ the children’s ages range from 12 months to 12 years. I am passionate about supporting learning through play, being outdoors, sensory play, crafts, healthy cooking and baking with children and having lots of fun supporting their interests. Much experience with school reading schemes and early numeracy and cursive writing up to Year1/2 to help with homework. I also have a wide range of SEN experience.

My Qualifications

NNEB Qualified Nursery Nurse with 35 + years experience. I have Elklan speech & language training from 2008. EYFS Professional development courses including Maths through Play, Lets build, Makaton Sign Language levels 1/2, GCSE in French 2009.
