About Me

Hi, I’m Kylie, an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Sandymoor. I live with my two daughters and our much-loved pets, Leo the cat and Ember our Cavapoo.

I offer a warm, friendly and welcoming home-from-home environment where children can feel happy, safe and secure while they play, learn and grow.

I genuinely love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to play a part in each child’s early years. My aim is to provide a warm, happy and nurturing home-from-home where children feel safe, settled and completely themselves. Our days are filled with opportunities to learn, explore and experience new things, but most importantly, to have lots of fun along the way – because childhood should be full of happy memories, laughter and adventures.

When I’m not childminding, I love keeping active and spending time outdoors. I enjoy going for walks and exploring new places, and I also play netball regularly, which I absolutely love. I’ve always enjoyed being creative too, especially baking and cake decorating – there’s nothing better than making something from scratch (even if the kitchen ends up a little messy!). I love bringing these interests into my childminding too, whether that’s getting outdoors, keeping active or enjoying some baking and creative activities with the children.

Your child will have plenty of opportunities to explore, create and have fun through a wide variety of activities. Our days may include forest school sessions, gymnastics, drawing and painting, messy play, playdough, sand and water play, music, dancing and so much more.

Activities and experiences are planned around the children’s individual interests, personalities and stages of development, allowing them to learn and develop naturally through play. Most importantly, I want the children in my care to enjoy their days, make wonderful memories and have plenty of smiles, laughter and giggles along the way!



I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and support each child’s learning and development through everyday play, experiences and activities\. By getting to know your child well, I can recognise their individual interests, strengths and developing skills and provide opportunities that naturally encourage them to learn and grow\.

I believe that children learn best when they are happy, engaged and having fun, so learning is woven naturally into our day rather than feeling formal or structured\. I’ll keep you regularly updated on what your child has been enjoying, the new things they are learning and all those lovely little milestones along the way.


We love getting out and about and make the most of our local parks, National Trust membership, library, play centres and other local activities. These outings give the children lots of opportunities to explore, be active, experience new things and socialise with other children – all while having plenty of fun!
