Hello, I’m Laura, an Ofsted-rated Good registered childminder based in Flackwell Heath.
I live with my husband and our two children, Chloe and Charlie. Providing a warm, caring, and nurturing home-from-home environment is at the heart of everything I do, helping children feel safe, valued, and confident as they learn and grow.
My setting offers a dedicated play space within my home and a large, secure garden filled with opportunities for outdoor play, exploration, and physical development. Indoors, children have access to a wide range of age-appropriate toys, books, creative resources, and sensory activities that support their individual interests and stages of development.
I believe children learn best through play, hands-on experiences, and following their natural curiosity. Each week I plan engaging activities based on the children’s interests, alongside opportunities to develop key skills through arts and crafts, sensory play, imaginative play, baking, and themed learning experiences.
We regularly enjoy outings within the local community, including parks, libraries, toddler groups, farms, woodland walks, and forest school sessions. These experiences help children build confidence, develop social skills, and gain a greater understanding of the world around them.
I work closely with parents to ensure every child receives the support, encouragement, and care they need to thrive. My aim is for every child to feel happy, secure, and excited to learn while creating wonderful memories along the way.
My Experience
I have over 12 years of experience working with children of various ages in a range of childcare and family settings. This experience has given me a strong understanding of children’s individual needs and how to support their learning, development, and wellbeing through nurturing care and engaging experiences.

Laura is an outstanding individual who cares very deeply about the children in her care, and it shows.
Laura is very keen on ensuring her environment is essentially a home away from home, and as she took care of our youngest child for two years, she treated her as though she were one of her own the whole time.
She provides daily updates of their activities, so you can easily keep track of any changes in development, and she ensures that a lot of interactions and activities are enriching based on a standardised curriculum, so it's clear to see that our little one is on track with reading, counting,
Laura deserves the utmost recommendation; if there is anyone you could trust to not only take care of your child but ensure they can flourish, it would be her.

Laura is an excellent childminder and everything you would want from another person who isn’t you looking after your child.
She looked after my daughter for over a year and was so thoughtful, caring and patient with her. My daughter had been in a nursery before and we had such a terrible experience. But Laura made my concerns disappear after our first conversation. The way she interacted with my daughter I just knew she was right from the beginning. My daughter was always so excited to go to Laura’s and brought home numerous paintings, artwork and handmade gifts for me. Her development came on leaps and bounds which Laura always kept me up to date on. She was also brilliant when we started potty training and supported what we did at home by replicating it in her setting.
I cannot recommend Laura enough. She is a brilliant childminder!

After deciding to go back to work when my son was 9 months old I had to make the hard choice in finding a childminder. I got recommended to Laura from a few people and I couldn’t be happier that I got pointed in her direction.
My son absolutely adores Laura and is such a happy boy while with her and after being with her every weekday. Laura sends photo updates throughout the day along with a message to say how their day is going. Any questions she has for me on the day she always asks.
Couldn’t recommend Laura enough such a genuine loving childminder!
