My name is Kirsty Pierce, age 28 from Liverpool.
I have experience looking after babies and young children for ten years ranging from three months old to thirteen years old. I am a fully qualified nurse looking to work with children outside of my work duties. Most availability runs over evenings and weekends although some days through the week are available. I am not a registered child minder but I am an individual who enjoys caring for children.
Before carrying out my nursing degree I completed a Child Development qualification finishing with grade A and then carried on to complete a Level 3 in Health and Social Care which I completed with three Distinctions.
I have a full, clean driving licence and have my own car for travel. I do not smoke and I am also pet friendly.
Due to being a registered nurse I am first aid trained and also trained in basic life support and immediate life support for all ages and choking. I am able to deal with difficult and challenging behaviour.

My Experience
The families I have cared for have ranged from 3 months old - 13 years old. I have cared for up to four children at once.
Throughout my Health and Social Care training I carried out placements which involved children of various ages. I spent a lot of time working in Reception, Year One and Year Two classes assisting the teachers, working with the children during both class time and play time and also carried out one to ones with children who needed more support with their maths. I carried out one to one support with a child who suffered from autism with guidance.
During my nursing degree I trained in a centre which cared for children from new born up until pre-school age. Here I took part in feeding, meal times, play times, story times, sensory play, nap time and also dealt with upset, distressed children leaving their parents.
Also throughout nursing I spent time at a school for autism. Here I spent time in the classroom with several children an also accompanied trips outside of the classroom such as swimming.
I have carried out regular babysitting on weekends for a family of three children for over two years. The ages of the children were 14, 13 and 6 years old. I was able to develop a trusting relationship with both the children and parents by caring for them on a regular basis. These hours have now become available since family childcare needs have changed.

I charge £10 per hour.

We met Kirsty via this website to care for our three children (including two teenagers). We needed someone who would be good with both our 8 year old and also get along with our teenage son and daughter.
Kirsty has been amazing and fitted in so well with everyone. She is completely part of the family now, the kids adore her (as do we).
She is fun, friendly, approachabke and very reliable. 100% recommend her for your babysitting needs.
