About Me

I am Evie Hendrix an Accredited OFSTED Registered Childminder, specialising in the care of children with Additional Needs and Disabilities.
I do not currently have ‘full-time’ vacancies available. Other times by special arrangement.
I have been graded ‘OUTSTANDING' 3 times.
I have lived in Launceston since 1994
I was originally registered with Hertfordshire County Council.

I have 3 children, who have all now left home' and now have 7 grandchildren.

My Experience

I have been a registered childminder for over 30 years and became an Accredited Childminder and Nursery Education provider in July 2008

I then became a member of the Cornwall Community Childminding Network and have extensive experience with children who have additional needs and disabilities.
I supported SEN families during covid19, voluntarily.
I have been a volunteer support worker for a local small SEND charity

My Qualifications

Introductory Pre-school Playgroups Association (PPA)
TAYTEC "Looking after children" - Grade 1
CACHE Level 3 certificate in childminding practice (equivalent to NVQ3)
NSPCC certificate in Child Protection Awareness

My Availability

I currently do not have full use of my gardens. I had to have all the decking removed, and it’s taking time to get it safe enough for young children to play in.
We plan visits to soft play, toddler groups, craft sessions, parks, and playgrounds, etc..
