Hi, I’m Amy! I’m 28 years old and have a degree in Education Studies from the University of Bedfordshire. I’m a fun, caring, creative and confident person, but most importantly, I’m reliable and responsible.
For the past year and a half, I have worked as a nanny for two families, caring for children of different ages and supporting them with their everyday routines. My experience has included caring for a 1-year-old and a 5-year-old, and a 2- year-old, doing school and nursery pick-ups, taking the children to classes and activities, arranging playdates, preparing meals and working with a particularly fussy eater to encourage a positive relationship with food. I’ve also been responsible for dog walking and helping with the general running of the household.
Before becoming a nanny, I worked in nurseries with children of all ages and as a teaching assistant in a Reception class, where I regularly covered the class of 30 children. I have experience caring for children from newborn through to 6 years old, as well as over three years of experience supporting children with additional needs.
I’m Paediatric First Aid trained, DBS checked, a non-smoker and have my own car. I’ve been driving for 10 years and am confident with school runs, activities and getting children out and about.
I’m happy to help with all aspects of family life, whether that’s childcare, cooking, tidying, laundry, dog walking, school runs or simply keeping things organised. I’m independent, hardworking and genuinely love working with children and becoming part of a family.

My Experience
I have lots of experience working with children of all ages, although I am not a registered childminder and therefore do not hold a registered childminder qualification.
My childcare experience began volunteering on a children’s activity farm, where I loved interacting with children and helping them discover the animals and creepy crawlies! I then progressed to working as an Early Years Lead at a holiday activity camp, before gaining experience as a Teaching Assistant and regularly covering a Reception class.
I went on to work in two different nurseries for a total of around four years, working with children across a range of ages, and progressed to becoming a Room Leader in a preschool room.
Alongside my professional experience, I have babysat children from 3 months old through to 12 years old, giving me a wide range of experience with different ages, personalities and routines.
I am confident caring for children independently and creating a fun, safe and engaging environment for them. I am also happy to provide references from previous childcare roles.
My Qualifications
- Paediatric first aid trained
- GCSE’s & A Levels
- rebound therapy level 3
- Bachelors degree in applied education studies
- Full DBS check
- Drivers License
My Availability
I am looking for a full time role, 4-5 days. and am open to the occasional baby sitting if and when needed!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
I am willing to discuss this in person, however my minimum base rate is £18ph.
