Lisa Byd
Nanny in Ludgershall (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
My name is Lisa and I’m a qualified Nanny and Swimming Teacher.
I’ve worked with Children since I left school for 32 years. Mainly as a Nanny but also in Nurseries, Before/After School Club and a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant in a Primary School. For the last 10 years I’ve worked as a Swimming Teacher alongside Nannying.
For the last 3 years I’ve ran my own Swim School specialising in teaching 1-1 lessons to children & adults with additional needs but doing this 7 days a week has become tough being in the water so I’m down to 4 days now.
I’m available on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. I have an almost 12 year old rescue dog from Spain so need to find work which allows me to walk her mid-morning. I do however have a dog walker that helps me out if needed.
Happy to work in Basingstoke, Andover and surrounding areas.
I love doing crafts, cooking, Gym Club, Music Classes, trips to the Farm/Parks and of course Swimming with children! Also enjoy walking, training and spending time with my Rescue Dog.
My Experience
I've had over 30 experience in childcare, mainly as a Nanny. In my career I have cared for new born babies and up to children aged 15 years! Also had Special Needs and Mutiple Birth (Triplets) experience. I come with Excellent Nanny References. Also been teaching swimming lessons since Feb 2016

Lisa has been working for us part-time since June looking after our bbg triplets 2 days a week (Mon & Fri). Lisa is brilliant with the 3 of them and I'm very upset that we have to let her go. My husband lost his job in June just after Lisa started working for us. We kept her on anticipating he would find another job but unfortunately he hasn't been able to. I'm a first time Mum and was so nervous looking for childcare, wanting someone capable of looking after 3 babies who is trustworthy. We met Lisa, she ticked all the boxes and we've been happy with her ever since. The triplets (now 16 months) love Lisa. She's calm, patient, caring and loves singing & dancing with them. She's done painting with them & made cards for us for special occasions, which we love & appreciate. She takes the triplets out to soft play and on play dates which they enjoy. I can highly recommend Lisa. She is fab and we are going to miss her.

Lisa has been looking after our children on a Saturday during the day for the last few months. We asked Lisa to help us in the capacity of a babysitter, but she has been so much more than that. Lisa has spent time getting to know the boys and understands what makes them tick, but is also not afraid to apply boundaries when needed. Lisa's involvement has gone over and above our expectations. She has taken the time to take them out for picnics, to finkley down and jungle jungle, bit has also ensured they spend time in their own environment being creative and playing in the garden. They boys have been thoroughly spoilt (in a good way!) and have really enjoyed their time with Lisa. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lisa and will most definitely use her again in the future.

Lisa has looked after my two girls (aged 4.5 and nearly 3) for 6 months in a sole charge role, working long days and taking care of every aspect of the children's day, from breakfast and getting them dressed, school run and activities, playdates, teatime, bath and bedtime. She is dedicated and caring and clearly enjoys her job - she even comes with her own craft chest crammed with fun things to make and do! She has also kept a cool head and reacted sensibly and speedily, rushing my daughter to the doctors when she broke out in a dramatic rash. I've known Lisa for over 3 years from when she was a friend's nanny and she helped run our local toddler group. I was very pleased when she was able to step in at short notice to help us out. Now that our circumstances have changed again, we are very sad to lose Lisa and wish her all the best in her next role.
