Live-In / Live-Out SEN Nanny – Bristol (Immediate Start)

A warm and friendly family in Westbury Park, Bristol are seeking a kind, patient and fun female nanny to support a busy household with three children (aged 10 and 8-year-old twins), including one child with additional needs.

We live in a lovely location, just a 5-minute walk to the Bristol Downs, and a short drive or walk into central Bristol.

This is a full-time role with the option to live in or live out.

??About the role:

You will primarily be supporting an 8-year-old girl with Down’s syndrome, autism and ADHD. She is incredibly loving, sociable and full of personality. She loves singing, dancing, cuddles, playing, and being active, running, jumping, and getting out for fun days out. She thrives on attention, engagement and connection.
She also loves water, so someone who enjoys swimming is a must, and she would absolutely adore someone who can use their imagination, whether that’s turning a cardboard box into a spaceship or making everyday moments fun and exciting.

At times she can become frustrated if her needs are not understood, so this role requires someone calm, attentive and experienced.

????We are looking for someone who is:

* Female
* Experienced with children with additional needs (essential)
* Makaton experience (essential)
* Patient, kind and nurturing
* Fun, energetic and imaginative
* Calm and confident managing challenging behaviour
* Comfortable with a child who is very affectionate and sensory
* A driver (essential)
* Non-smoker / non-vaper
* Holds an up-to-date DBS check
* Able to provide two recent references

?Duties include:

* Before and after school care
* Sole and shared care of the children
* Engaging the children in fun, structured and creative activities
* Supporting routines and transitions
* Light household duties during the day (tidying, children’s laundry, meal prep)

Once household tasks are complete during the day, time is your own until afternoon childcare begins.

?Hours & flexibility:

* Before school and from approx. 3:30pm onwards
* Babysitting one evening per week
* Some flexibility required

**Weekend support will be required at times**, particularly to support my daughter, however this can be balanced with time off during the week. I am very happy to offer flexibility so the role feels sustainable and fair.
