I am a Qualified nursery nurse with 22 years experience in various settings including an NHS maternity unit. I am also a mummy myself!
I am fun loving and able to see life from a childs perspective! I am also firm but fair and calm with endless patience!
My Experience
I have nannied for 4 families,all which have been long term positions. I spent 12 years working in a maternity unit as a nursery nurse on the postnatal wards. I have also been a maternity nurse which I feel is where my heart lies, it is such an honour to be able to support new parents at such a special time.I have extensive experience with potty training, breastfeeding,sleep training,and most of all having fun with children! I have raised 4 of my own children,plus a 2 year old granddaughter,I think that this helps me to see things from a parents point of view as well as a child/health professional. I am currently working as a community nursery nurse so am looking for babysitting or some ad hoc work.
My Qualifications
I have a Certificate in childcare and education level 2 and a BTEC level 3 in childcare.
I have also attended a UNICEF breastfeeding course as well as various hospital training.Including neonatal and adult life support
