About Me
I have been childminding since my son was 18months and he is now 21yrs , I also live with my daughter 15 years, husband, and our family golden retreiver "Buster" . My last Ofsted inspection saw me gain a strong standard in all areas . I believe that the outdoors provides stimulating and endless opportunities to deliver the EYFS curriculum and as such my days are inspired by outdoor activities. This includes farm visits, woodlands, parks, mud and puddles , nature and bug seeking and much more. I also offer a welcoming, stimulating homely environment in which your child can relax, play and reach their full potential.
My Experience
Before becoming a mummy myself I worked for the Yorkshire bank for 12 years and then had my baby boy who is now 21. I have been childminding for almost 20 years (just a short break to have my daughter) . I attend many courses each year to keep me informed of recent procedures/policies and also to be inspired.
I have childcare experience from birth to 18years.
My Qualifications
GCSE Childcare and Development Grade "A"
First part of Diploma in childcare ( requested to register)
First Aid Paediatric
Various different Course attendance such as Safe guarding/ Food hygiene , safer sleep and curriculum training.
My Availability
I take preschool only. Mon to Fri 7am to 5pm (can be flexible) and maybe able to offer collection from moortown.
My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I accept funded 30 hours.
My Local Schools

The reason for the review title is we often compare Donna to Mary Poppins! Donna is genuinely like part of the family and we don't know where we'd be without her. Donna look after our middle child, who we gave up on the idea of nursery after a very traumatic attempt at settling in, who took to Donna a dream! from 1 year 1 month until she was 4 and out little girl not only adored Donna but thrived in her care. We then did not hesitate to secure a place when we found out baby number 3 was on route, who has been going to Donna for about 6 months now and despite being a very attached BF baby, she has no issues going to Donna and seems to also be coming on a dream. If you're looking for some who will be kind and patient and love your child as if it's her own, look no further, honestly cannot praise Donna enough

Donna looked after both my sons brilliantly from ages 2-10 years. They are now 18 and 14! Donna gave me the confidence to go to work knowing that my children were being cared for like family. Donna took the children on exciting daily trips and they were always really happy and settled. Donna is someone you can rely on 100%, her communication with parents is excellent and she gives lots of detail about each child’s day. I would recommend Donna without question. She is deservedly rated outstanding. 🥰

Donna really cares about all the children in her care and wants the absolute best for them. Each day Donna takes the children somewhere in the morning e.g. a park, farm, Harewood House, the woods and they have a fabulous time exploring the outdoors, embracing whatever the weather throws at them, playing, learning and having fun with their friends. Her days include lots of planned activities as well as free play. My little boy has loved being in her care for the past two years and is always asking when his next Donna Day is.
