My Summary
About Me
I have been childminding since my son was 18months and he is now 17yrs , I also live with my daughter 12 years, husband, and our family golden retreiver "Buster" . My last Ofsted inspection saw me gain an "outstanding" . I believe that the outdoors provides stimulating and endless opportunities to deliver the EYFS curriculum and as such my days are inspired by outdoor activities. This includes farm visits, woodlands, parks, mud and puddles , nature and bug seeking and much more. I also offer a welcoming, stimulating homely environment in which your child can relax, play and reach their full potential.
My Experience
Before becoming a mummy myself I worked for the Yorkshire bank for 12 years and then had my baby boy who is now 17. I have been childminding for 16years (just a short break to have my daughter) . I attend many courses each year to keep me informed of recent procedures/policies and also to be inspired.
I have childcare experience from birth to 18years.
My Qualifications
GCSE Childcare and Development Grade "A"
First part of Diploma in childcare ( requested to register)
First Aid Paediatric
Various different Course attendance such as Safe guarding/ Food hygiene etc
My Availability
I take on preschool only. Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm (can be flexible)
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Daily rate £55

Donna looked after both my sons brilliantly from ages 2-10 years. They are now 18 and 14! Donna gave me the confidence to go to work knowing that my children were being cared for like family. Donna took the children on exciting daily trips and they were always really happy and settled. Donna is someone you can rely on 100%, her communication with parents is excellent and she gives lots of detail about each child’s day. I would recommend Donna without question. She is deservedly rated outstanding. 🥰

Donna really cares about all the children in her care and wants the absolute best for them. Each day Donna takes the children somewhere in the morning e.g. a park, farm, Harewood House, the woods and they have a fabulous time exploring the outdoors, embracing whatever the weather throws at them, playing, learning and having fun with their friends. Her days include lots of planned activities as well as free play. My little boy has loved being in her care for the past two years and is always asking when his next Donna Day is.

Donna lovingly cared for both my girls from being babies until they went to preschool. Both girls formed a wonderful relationship with her due to her warmth, kindness, patience and sense of fun. They were always out on visits to farms, playgrounds, nature reserves and more, and slept like angels after their busy ‘Donna days’!
Donna would always keep us posted on the things they did throughout the day, and offered so much support to me when I had issues toilet training, giving great advice and following on things we were doing at home in her setting.
Donna is knowledgeable, kind and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services to anyone who needs a childminder they can trust in a beautiful, clean, welcoming home!
