About Me

My name is Rothna, and I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder with 7 years of experience caring for children and supporting families in our community.

For me, childminding has always been about so much more than simply looking after children. I love creating a warm, happy and safe home-from-home environment where children feel secure, confident and free to explore, ask questions, get messy, make discoveries and, most importantly, enjoy being children!

I love following each child’s individual interests and curiosity, finding fun and meaningful ways to support their learning and development through everyday play, activities and experiences. I believe every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to learn and grow at their own pace.

Building strong, trusting relationships with parents is very important to me. I believe that by working together and communicating openly, we can give children the consistency, care and support they need to thrive. Parents receive regular updates through an online learning journal, including photos and videos of their child’s experiences and progress, alongside plenty of friendly chats and updates throughout the day.

My setting operates throughout the year, including half-term holidays. I also offer Early Years Entitlement funding and accept childcare vouchers.

Healthy eating is important to me, and I love cooking fresh meals from scratch for the children. I aim to provide nutritious, balanced meals and avoid processed foods wherever possible. Halal and vegetarian meals are also available to accommodate individual dietary requirements.

My childminding takes place in my family home in Brockley, where I live with my husband and our son. We are just a short walk from Brockley and St John’s stations, making our setting convenient for local families.
