Hi, I'm a woman in my 40s who raised 2 boys and sent my youngest off to university this year. I am a qualified teacher who taught in primary schools and nurseries in London for 12 years before moving to children's services and social care in Derby for a further 12 years. I now work for a small medical start up but am missing my interaction with little people and am looking for a part time position in a family home. special interests across my career have included outdoor play sessions, active tots and 'once upon a rhyme' singing sessions.
My Experience
I've worked across the nursery and primary age groups as a teacher and with families with children under 5 in my role within the children's centre. I have experience of working with children pre and post diagnosis with a range of special needs, developmental delay and speech and language difficulties. I have trained in and delivered PEEP parenting groups and managing children's behaviour.
My Qualifications
I hold a post graduate certificate in education, have a clean driving license and was advanced CRB checked for my job at Derby city
My Availability
Ideally I am looking for one or two days a week, evenings and overnight positions would be welcome
