About Me
I live with my husband, James and 1 son, 25 in Church Village. I have lived here for 23 years.
We have 2 retired guide dogs as family pets, one called Sammy and one called Nelson. We also help with the training of Guide Dogs and they sometimes come to live with us for 12 weeks before going to their forever home. (They go to school during the day, and the children love them as they are so friendly).
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 30 years. I started when my son was born as I didn’t want a nursery environment for him, I wanted a home from home. I am registered with CIW and abide by all their regulations and legal requirements. My whole family are DBS checked and these are renewed online. I am regularly inspected. I have a paediatric first aid qualification as well as my NVQ in childcare and development among other courses that I have chosen to take. I have many references and my parents are always willing to chat to any prospective parents. I do school drop off and wrap around to Llanilltud Faerdref and Garth Olwg in Church Village

I have an NVQ in Childcare and development, Paediatric First Aid, SENCO, Behaviour Management, Child Abuse and Radicalisation,
My Availability
I have full and part time spaces available at the moment. I do try to accommodate shift workers as I childmind for police and fire service employees. I work from 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. I charge from £4.50 per hour and £6 per session before and after school.

Our little Girl who is 16 months has been with Lesa now for over 6 months and we are so very happy that we found her. Riley really enjoys her time with Lesa and the lovely other children. She settled really easily and her development has come on leaps and bounds in her time there. They always have things to do and we have a communication diary that is updated everyday so I can see all about her day and eating etc. I would highly recommend Lesa to anyone looking for reliable, affordable and trustworthy childcare. ♥️
Overall
Lesa is currently my childminder here in church village. Initially we chose her as she lived locally and covered my childrens school but couldnt be happier with the service she provides. She has a very flexible approach to working which has provided reassurance to myself as my working hours can be unpredictable. My children both love spending time with her particularly with her lovely meals and she has a lovely group of children under her care. I cant thank lesa enough for the care she gives my children and i highly recommend her for anyone seeking a childminder.
