About Me
I am 22 years old and have my own car. The reason I wanted to become is a tutor is because I personally think having a 1 to 1 session can really benefit a child and help boost their confidence in that subject. I have had many tutors before therefore, from personal experience, I have learnt many methods that do and don’t work.
My Experience
I worked at explore learning which focuses on tutoring children between the age 5-14. I tutored a group of 6 kids of all ages at different levels. This taught me how to manage my time between all kids and notice all their strengths and weaknesses. It taught me how quickly I am able to pick things up as I would automatically know when each kid was struggling and who needed more help.
At the moment, I tutor a 6 year old child maths, reading, phonics and handwriting. I teach him a range of topics to make learning fun and interesting for him. By doing this he enjoys me coming round and teaching him.
I also tutored a child maths as she was preparing for her SATs. I tutored her in topics that she struggles with along with testing her knowledge to see what topics she finds difficult. I have also created many questions and posters to make learning easier for her e.g. learning timetables, long division and etc.
I am also looking to babysit as I have always looked after my younger cousins and have experience with playing games and entertaining them. I am happy to do any school activities e.g. reading, homework and etc.

GSCE - 11 A*-B inc Maths and English
