My Experience

I have previous experience working in the child care sector through both paid employment and also voluntary work in primary schools since 2013. I also have experience working with children with complex needs in a respite care setting which was paid employment. I hold accredited health and social care level 2 qualifications and also CACHE Level 3 supporting teaching and learning in schools qualifications. In addition to this I have recently been accredited with up to Level 3 counselling qualifications, so I’m hoping this will further boost my working practice with children. I was also employed as a bank nursery assistant at a local nursery in Rhiwbina from early 2019 to early 2020. I worked in this nursery setting with children from a range of ages from babies to 4 years old. I was employed here to assist with sickness cover, annual leave cover and school holiday cover. Duties included setting up and supporting children with daily activities, cleaning and domestic duties around the setting and supporting children during meal times. I found it rewarding helping to encourage the daily development of children and hope to build on this further for the future. Alongside this I have also been enlisted as a regular babysitter for two children based in Roath since early 2020. This arrangement has now come to an end but I will still be carrying out occasional work for the family as requested. I have gained some valuable insight and experience with children of different ages over this time period. I have also babysat for other children within the local community via other contacts as well so have gained a lot of experience.

My Qualifications

I hold Level 2 QCF qualifications in Health and Social care and also CACHE Level 3 Award Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools which qualifies me to work with children. I also have recently qualified up to Level 3 in counselling. I have Level 2 certificate in counselling skills and Level 3 certificate in Counselling studies so this will further aid my work with children. Also have attended various training courses over the years on autism awareness through my old employment of work.

My Availability

Currently looking for weekday work as a priority either late morning or afternoon/after school with a little flexibility to help on weekends occasionally for evening babysitting. Additional work can be carried out as an occasional evening sitter where the rates differ.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

This would be my base daily flat rate for daytime work but if the work carried out involves an evening babysit then the flat rate for this would be £70.
