My Requirements
Hello! We're a friendly family a short walk from Chiswick Park and South Acton stations, looking for a caring and well-organised nanny-housekeeper to help with our two boys and keep our household running smoothly in the afternoons. If you're warm, capable and happy to roll with the flow of family life, we think you'll really enjoy working here.
The role at a glance
Hours: 2:00pm–7:00pm, Monday to Friday (25 hours per week)
Pay: £20 per hour, gross
Occasional extra hours: a few early mornings (7:00am–10:00am) roughly 2–3 times a month, plus the very occasional later evening by arrangement — all paid at the same hourly rate. These are genuinely occasional, not a standing commitment.
Car: Use of our car provided for school runs and activities.
The children
Two boys, aged 10 and 8, both at school.
A typical afternoon
2:00 — Put on laundry
2:30 — Walk the dog
3:00 — Light cleaning and tidy
4:00 — Prepare an after-school snack
4:30 — Collect the boys from school
5:00 — Prepare dinner
6:00 — Homework done, uniforms set out for the morning
7:00 — We're home
What the role involves
Fresh, home-cooked food for the boys; washing and ironing, uniforms ready for the next day; school pick-ups and trips to after-school classes (so you'll be driving); and keeping the home clean and organised with day-to-day upkeep and light housework. We have a cleaner twice a week as well, so you just need to keep on top of things in between.
What we're looking for
Someone caring, easy-going and conscientious, who's naturally organised and good with their time, but can also take the ups and downs of family life in their stride.
Essential:
A current paediatric first aid certificate
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
A full UK driving licence — automatic-only is absolutely fine
Checkable references
Happy around pets — we have a dog and a kitten
