Welcome to Apple Tree Tots — Where Every Child Thrives from Day One
Apple Tree Tots is a warm, welcoming and welcoming childcare setting based in Rhos on Sea, North Wales. We care for children from birth right through to school age, offering a nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and given the very best start in life.
We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales and are proud to be a Flying Start centre, meaning we follow structured areas of learning and development to support children's growth across all areas — from communication and language to physical development, creativity and personal well-being. Our setting is purpose built for childcare and is separate from our home, giving children a dedicated, safe and stimulating space to learn and grow every single day.
Outstanding Outdoor Provision
One of the things we are most proud of at Apple Tree Tots is our outdoor Forest School provision. Our older children enjoy regular Forest School sessions where they explore nature, develop confidence, build resilience and learn through hands on outdoor play. We believe passionately that every child — no matter how small — deserves quality time outdoors. That is why we have also recently developed a dedicated outdoor play area specifically designed for our youngest children, giving even our babies and youngest toddlers their own safe, stimulating and beautifully resourced outdoor space to explore and discover the world around them.
Inspiring Indoor Spaces
As well as our wonderful outdoor provision, our indoor spaces have been thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity, curiosity and a love of learning. Our dedicated playrooms offer children a rich and stimulating environment where they can explore, create, imagine and discover at their own pace. From creative arts and role play to quiet reading corners and sensory exploration, every area of our indoor space has been carefully resourced to support children's development across all areas of learning. We believe that the environment is a child's third teacher — and at Apple Tree Tots, every corner of our setting has been created with that in mind.
A Dedicated Team
Our fantastic team have been with us for a number of years and bring a wealth of experience, dedication and genuine love for early years to everything they do. We maintain excellent adult to child ratios of 1 adult to every 3 children, meaning your little one will always receive the individual attention, care and support they deserve. We are incredibly proud of the relationships we build with the families who trust us with their children!
Funded Places and Flexible Childcare
We are delighted to offer funded childcare hours for eligible families, including Flying Start funded places for children aged 2 to 3 and the Welsh Government's Childcare Offer for Wales for eligible working parents of 3 and 4 year olds. About Jacqui — Owner and Lead Practitioner at Apple Tree Tots
My name is Jacqui Gill and I am the owner and lead practitioner at Apple Tree Tots. I have been running this setting since 2019 and in that time I have built something I am truly proud of — a warm, nurturing and professionally led childcare setting that families in Rhos on Sea and the surrounding area trust with the most precious people in their lives.
I am a happily married mother of three wonderful and thriving grown up children and I’m also a Grandmother of two, which means I understand first hand just how much it matters to find the right childcare for your family. That personal understanding of what parents need and want from a setting is at the heart of everything we do at Apple Tree Tots.
My professional background is broad and varied. Before opening Apple Tree Tots I worked for many years for leading well known large healthcare organisations supporting and educating within the NHS environment in Adult and Paediatric disease areas, giving me a strong foundation in care, safeguarding and child welfare that I bring to my practice every single day. I have also been an approved Registered Chaperone, supporting local children in activities and performances — chaperoning children performing at Venue Cymru and Colwyn Bay with a local theatrical school. This role reflects my genuine commitment to children's wider development, confidence and well-being beyond the setting.
Since opening Apple Tree Tots I have invested heavily in my own professional development. I am currently studying for my Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Early Years — because I believe that to lead an outstanding team and deliver the very best for children, I must continue to grow, learn and develop myself. That commitment to continuous improvement runs through everything we do here — from our Forest School provision and our newly developed outdoor baby and toddler play area, to our Flying Start delivery and our partnership with the Conwy Play Development Team.
I am incredibly passionate about what I do and that passion is reflected in the feedback we receive from the families who trust us with their children.

My Qualifications
Alongside my academic achievements I also have attended a vast array of face-to-face and online and in person training courses including: Level 3 Paediatric first aid, Level 2 Food Safety, Equality and Diversity-qualifications, CYPOP5, CAT C Safeguarding and I am also Fully enhanced DBS Checked. I have also achieved and passed the food safety Allergen Food awareness training. I am currently studying to achieve my level 5 in leadership and management in childcare.

I offer care all year round except back holidays

- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
