About Me
My name is Tracey. I live with my husband Neal. We have been married for 29 years . We have 3 adult children and 1 grandchild, alsong with Bramble and Barley the dogs In my spare time I enjoy walks gardening and time with family.
My Experience
With over 28 years of experience in Early Years childcare, I am passionate about providing children with the very best start in life. Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of roles, including Key Worker, Safeguarding Lead (DSL), SENCO, Room Leader and Nursery Manager, supporting children from birth to 8 years of age.
I have a wealth of knowledge and qualifications in child development and early education and have completed extensive professional training, including Enabling Environments, Loose Parts Play, Two-Year-Old Development, Every Child a Talker (ECAT), safeguarding, speech and language development, and many other areas that support children's learning and wellbeing.
At Tracey Childminding, children learn through play, exploration, investigation and hands-on experiences within a warm, welcoming and nurturing home environment. I believe children learn best when they are curious, confident and given opportunities to discover the world around them at their own pace.
We are continually investing in our setting to provide exciting learning opportunities. Thanks to a recent grant, we are currently creating a dedicated sensory room to support children's emotional wellbeing, sensory development and self-regulation. We are also planning to renovate and enhance our outdoor learning environment, creating an inspiring garden where children can explore nature, develop physical skills and enjoy outdoor learning throughout the year.
I am supported by experienced childminding assistants who share my passion for helping children become confident, independent learners. Together, we provide high-quality care that prepares children with the skills, resilience and confidence they need for a successful transition to primary school.
As an Early Years professional, I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills. I have recently completed the Department for Education Professional Development Programme for Early Years Practitioners (2023). I am currently studying Level 3 qualifications in Children and Young People's Mental Health and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma, ensuring my practice remains current and informed by the latest research to best support every child's individual needs.

Thank you so much x we love having her and will miss her, when she starts school in September.
Tracey has been wonderful over the past nearly 10 months. He’s always rushing to get into her door and always comes out smiling. She’ll be missed massively as we are moving away or we’d be staying with her forever
