My Requirements

Hi! My name’s Sophia and I’m a photographer who lives in Stoke Newington with my husband (Ed - a TV producer) and our two children - a 6 year old girl and a 4 year old boy.

We are looking to find a lovely local after school nanny starting in mid November. The role would be picking up our daughter from school 5 days a week at 3.30pm Mon - Friday, and looking after her until 6.30pm each day. Our son is at nursery, so most days you will only be looking after our daughter until 5.30pm, when I collect my son.

If you require more hours we could think about adapting our son's nursery schedule so you look after him on Fridays, or perhaps get you to start earlier in the day and help with some light household duties (while the kids are at school/nursery). For the right candidate we are willing to be flexible!

We are after someone who has a sunny disposition, who is as comfortable engaging in imaginative play as they are in helping with homework. Your duties would include overseeing playdates, helping with homework, planning fun activities, preparing a healthy kids dinner and taking our daughter to after school clubs. It would also be great if you are available for the odd evening babysitting / bedtime (to be agreed upon in advance, and not a prerequisite for this position).

We would love to build a lasting relationship with our after school nanny - and it is our hope that they can build a real bond with our children. Ideally we’d be looking for someone who is optimistic, extremely reliable and loves playing! We would also like a nanny who is happy to help with the kids cooking, tidying their bedrooms and helping with the kids laundry.
