About Me
Hi my name is Tina I've been a registered childminder from 2002 and live in Newtownabbey area. I have a family of my own ranging from 12-25 years . I offer a cosy, warm, loving home from home setting. I offer a wide range of activities for the children in my care which include seasonal activities, parks, long pram walks, funky monkeys, funworks and world of wonder and in the summer we would go to the zoo and Crawfordsburn regularly.. I also have a large enclosed garden with outdoor toys including swings slides playhouses etc. we have a lot of dress up art and craft and wide range of toys to offer.

My little one came into the world 9 weeks following that I was hospitalised for 1 week with sepsis so we had a rough start! My baby is extremely clingy and I needed some rest bite a day or two a week. Tina completely understood and has been been taking great care of my special little one! I rececive regular updates during his time with her. Although the baby is very clingy with Tina she handles him fantastic! She has great experience with babies and feel assured he is in the best hands on his days with Tina. Would highly recommend.

Tina is an amazing Childminder. My Son has been going to Tina since January 2025. She made me feel so at ease about leaving my Son as he has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome and I am a very anxious Mummy. Tina is so flexible especially when it comes to my sons appointments etc. My Son absolutely loves Tina he goes over to her in the morning waves bye to me and a kiss and he is happy as can be. Tina also is the most caring person and really takes amazing care of my son. Communication is amazing sends me pictures of him throughout the day and gives me daily updates. She really cares for my son which is amazing 👏 and makes me feel so warm when I am speaking to to her, also her family are the nicest people and also so caring great environment for my son to be in. I would highly recommend Tina to anyone and her experience is amazing and it tells in the care she gives my son. Thank you so much Tina for making me going back to work so much easier you are amazing 🥰.

Tina is a wonderful childminder. My two daughters both spent the last year with her and they loved every minute of it. My youngest daughter has gained her own little personality, she can have a conversation with you that would last days lol. That’s all down to the time she has spent with Tina and her lovely family. I would highly recommend Tina to anyone. Tina is a lovely person with a lovely family. I wouldn’t hesitate to send my children back again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for contributing to my girls growing up in your care.

Tina had been watching our daughter for one year with great care ,dropping & picking our daughter up from preschool, excellent communication with both working parents on everyday activities, we where very happy with Tina's services known our daughter was being cared for as we continued with our working career and a happy daughter....

My son has been with Tina for 7 months now, and is very settled there. Hes treated like one of the family, and im happy knowing he is well looked after while i am at work. Tina even brings him home which makes everything so much easier with my work schedule.

I am very satisfied with Tina's care for my son and with the communication between the parent and Tina. she keeps informed about the child's progress and how he spends time with her and other children. My son and I really liked Tina and the whole family, I recommend it 100%

My wee one is a bit of a velcro baby so finding suitable childcare had been quite stressful. We found Tina and she has went above and beyond since day one to welcome Moya into her home. Baba always comes home happy and Tina is great at keeping me updated throughout the day.

My twin boys are currently with Tina and have been from start of November. I cannot express enough how much Tina has helped me out and works around my work and the boys nursery drop offs. My boys love going to Tina’s house, such a warm family home and that’s exactly what I wanted. Couldn’t recommend anyone more highly.

Hey Rachel thank you so much for your review it’s been comical looking after the boys it’s reminds me of my human tornadoes.
I initially left a review in October 2022 following 1 month of my child attending with Tina however i am unable to update this, so i an including this additional review as an update to the issues i have faced..
Tina has after 16 months left me just over 1 hours notice to collect my child as she terminated my contract with immediate effect due to a dispute over my understanding vs her understanding of holiday entitlement. I believed i had paid 4 weeks full pay as per our contracted agreement, Tina was disputing this however failed to provide any evidence. Tina also commented that i should pay her as universal credit pay me anyway. Tina then proceeded to drop my child's belongings to school and not pick her up as we agreed.
In addition to this Tina failed to provide me with receipts for payments i had made despite numerous phone calls and texts she has completely ignored all terms of our contract and not worked any notice. This has caused my child upset, myself unnecessary stress and now i have had to take unpaid leave from my workplace to facilitate childcare.
Personally after 16 months it would worry me that Tina was able to totally disregard our contract and the feelings of my child.

I think it’s clear to everyone that this is not a genuine review based on Rachael’s previous comments left on 21/10/22.
Rachael was happy with the service as confirmed in November 2023 during my yearly inspection when she was required to raise any concerns.
I don’t think any parent would believe that any parent would leave their child in what they describe as a 1*, unclean home for 16 months.
What this review fails to mention is this parent breached the terms of the contract by refusing payment.
It should not worry anyone that someone who is providing a service would “disregard a contract” when payment is refused, however the decision was made with a heavy heart as myself and my family will truly miss having this child in our lives, it was a privilege to get to know her.
I would like to thank my current parents who have taken the time to write genuine reviews.
Tina and her family have welcomed my little girl into their home and treat her like she is part of their family! I cannot recommend Tina enough she goes out of her way to make sure my girl is happy every day and she is by far the best childminder!
