My Requirements

We are a friendly family of 4, with two children aged 6 and 8. We are soon to be a family of 5, with a baby on the way and due in late November / early December. We are looking for an after-school nanny to help once the baby arrives, beginning in January 2027. I will be on maternity leave for a year once the baby arrives, so will be around. Therefore we are looking for someone who is happy to be flexible – sometimes taking sole care of the baby while I collect and supervise the older children, and on other days doing the school run and supervising the older two. We would ideally like to find someone who would be happy to “muck in” and, when time permits, help with household laundry, loading / unloading dishwasher, tidying children’s play area and meal prep.

Basic hours will 4 or 5 days a week (we can be flexible) and 3 pm – 7 pm. However, we would be happy to offer longer hours (say 1 – 7 or 2 – 7) for someone who was happy to take on some light housekeeping (we already have a cleaner, so the house keeping side of things would be a bit of light tidying, laundry etc).

Pay will be dependant on experience.

Current DBS check, baby experience, first aid training and excellent references are essential. It’s not essential that you be a driver or have a car. Our eldest gets the school bus home from school while the younger one’s school is only a short bus ride or a walk away. It would be great to find someone who would be happy to occasionally babysit, although not essential.
