About Me
Hi,
My name is Sharon Scoular and I live in muirhouse in Motherwell. Up until recently I worked in Aldi's in wishaw, however decided to pursue a career in childcare. I registered with SCSWIS (formally the Care Commission) in June this year.
My Experience
Like many other childminders, I have my own children, who are now grown up, but reflect on their early years and the enjoyment they brought me. I worked previously in a primary school and was surrounded by younger children on a daily basis, and also coached athletics to the children in my local community.
This was one of the reasons I decided to consider childcare as a career. I registered last month and am loving this.
My Qualifications
As far as children are concerned, I have a daughter and a son, now grown up, and can fully understand and appreciate day to day life with small children. Being a working mum, I can empathise with parents trying to find suitable childcare, and the worries and concerns that this brings.
I have had a lot of experience working with young children from all ethnic backgrounds within my community, and laterly taught athletics in my local community centre.
