About Me
I'm 24 years old. I have experience looking after new borns and children up to the age of 14. As well as loving creativity I have always been sporty and growing up went to clubs such as athletics, netball, basketball, football and hockey. I love music and play the cello and piano. Growing up with two younger twin sisters I used to help them with school work and play with them. I'd take them to the park, bake with them do arts and crafts. I am from a big family and grew up as one of six kids. I enjoy cooking vegetarian/pescatarian meals. Growing up, my mother dealt with quite serious mental health illness, so I have experience dealing with the pressures that this brings on the mother and the family.
My Experience
For six months I volunteered as a rainbow's girl guiding leader (age 5-7), where I organised and led activities and looked after the children. I have also volunteered at a primary school for several weeks at a time, accompanied classes on school trips and assisted activities such as baking. I've babysat for children aged 1-14yrs which has involved making dinner, helping with homework, playing and putting to bed. In the past I have worked on a farm shop, where we involved the children in fun competitions and using the tills. I currently work as a student representative, which involves event management, buying food, drink, decorations to a budget and organising activities. My mother had a set of twins when I was eight and I absolutely loved helping to after them, which included changing nappies, dressing, feeding, putting to bed, playing. Growing up I would often take them to the park, help them with homework, occasionally make dinner for them and do arts and crafts with them.
