About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Carla and I am an experienced Childminder, former Early Years Teacher, and proud mum to my little boy, Roman.

I have over 17 years of experience working with children across a variety of Early Years settings, and caring for and supporting children's development has always been my passion. My experience, combined with becoming a mother myself, has given me a deeper understanding of the trust parents place in those caring for their children.

I provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming home-from-home environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, play and most importantly, have fun. My purpose-built playroom has been thoughtfully designed to create a stimulating learning environment where children can develop confidence, independence and a love of learning through play.

I strongly believe that children learn best when they are engaged, happy and given opportunities to explore the world around them. Alongside planned activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), I place a huge emphasis on outdoor learning and enrichment experiences. We regularly enjoy visits to local parks, libraries, rhyme time sessions, museums, children's centres, farms and community events, helping children develop a sense of curiosity and connection with the world around them.

Every child in my care is treated as an individual. I take the time to understand their unique personalities, interests and developmental needs, ensuring they receive the support and encouragement they need to thrive. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in confidence and achieve milestones, and I feel privileged to be part of that journey.

Building strong partnerships with parents is incredibly important to me. I pride myself on maintaining open, honest and effective communication, working together to ensure every child receives the very best care and support both at home and within my setting.
