Beki
Babysitter in Bury St. Edmunds
My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Beki. I’m in my mid-30s and currently work in the Early Years department at Finborough School, where I am mainly based in the Nursery. I have worked at the school for 10 years and genuinely love what I do.
Alongside my role at school, I have many years of experience caring for children outside of school hours, including babysitting and nannying. I have looked after children both in their own homes and at my home, particularly during the school holidays, and really enjoy building positive, trusting relationships with the children and families I care for.
I live with my partner and our 3-year-old son, who we absolutely adore. My partner has met many of the families and children I have cared for over the years, and we have always enjoyed creating a warm, welcoming and family-friendly environment in our home.
I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children, and I pride myself on being caring, reliable, responsible and approachable. My experience working in Early Years means I am very comfortable caring for young children and understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing and fun environment.
My Experience
I have 18 years of experience working with children aged 0–18, with the majority of my work focused in Early Years (0–5 years). I have extensive experience caring for babies and young children from as young as 2 months old, having worked in nurseries and a pre-school setting.
Alongside this, I have also run holiday clubs and after-school clubs for children up to 9 years of age, planning and leading activities that are both fun and age-appropriate.
In addition, I have worked as a nanny for a large family of seven children, as well as for other families on a part-time basis. My responsibilities in these roles included supporting the children’s daily routines such as getting them ready for the day, school runs, attending doctor appointments, and taking them to after-school activities. I also supported with homework, light housework, caring for the baby, and managing bedtime routines. I regularly provided overnight care and have also cared for the children while parents have been away on holiday.
I take great pride in providing a calm, reliable and nurturing presence, and I always aim to support both children and families in a caring and professional way.
I am more than happy to provide many references from previous families I have worked with as I am still friendly and in regular contact with them.
My Qualifications
I have a Cache level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education, although I am currently studying for my degree. I am also trained in Paediatric first aid, safeguarding and have attended many, many child development courses relevant to the Early Years (0-5 years of age).
