My Experience
I have 20+ years experience in working with children and families, including nannying for several families (new born, sole charge and over night experience).
I have also worked in a professional capacity in schools, children's centres, NHS and childrens charities over the last few years. My roles have included Family Support Worker, Family Link Worker, Education Mental Health Practitioner, Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner.
I am Mum to a lovely 12 year old boy who goes to school in Ladbroke Grove.
I love working with children of all ages and I am creative in my approach. I love planning days out with children and making the most of the brilliant museums and parks in the city. I am familiar with the local area, particularly W10, W9, W11 and I'm confident in attending local baby/toddler groups with little ones as well as activities for older ones too.
My Qualifications
BA Hons in Early Years and Education Studies (UEL) 2:1
First Aid trained - Ofsted Approved 2 Day Paediatric First Aid Course (Tiger Lily) - Completed on 02/06/2024
Introduction and Level 2 Counselling Skills, plus lots of training around child development, SEN, language and communication, safeguarding, mental health, emotional regulation, parenting strategies etc
PG Diploma - Education Mental Health Practice (UCL) - Merit
PG Certificate - Family Therapy (Kings) - Merit

Due to health reasons I am currently only available for ad hoc work for the time being.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)

Rua has supported us with our one year old child and we are so happy with her. She is reliable, playful and kind. She manages to connect with children and our child enjoys his time with her. He is happy, bubbly and content with her. She is creative and keeps him engaged by singing, reading books and she thinks of other activities that he will enjoy. We would absolutely recommend her and are glad to have her in pur lives!

We had the joy of having Rua assist with our 9-month-old daughter for a week. Rua demonstrated an innate understanding of our daughter's needs, combining warmth and professionalism in her approach. She was able to seamlessly integrate into our family's routine and despite the short time, she left a lasting impression on us with her caring nature. Any family would be lucky to have Rua as a nanny.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It was an absolute joy working with your family. Your 9 month old is adorable, I really enjoyed my time with her. I hope to work with you all at some point in the future again 😊 Always lovely working with a loving, caring family!
We had Rua for 8h as a one-off last minute nanny for our 6 year old son as me and hubby wanted to spend a few hours together on a weekend. She arrived promptly, was very welcoming, brought some books with her to entertain our son with too! She put back all the toys that they were playing with as requested which we both appreciated as the last thing you want to do is to clean the mess after your day off! When we asked our son the following day about his experience with Rua, he said that he liked her very much and that they were playing different games. All in all, would highly recommend Rua to anyone and will certainly use her services in the future!
