About Me
I love working with children - they are the geniuses of modern society. Communication is the best tool I have, I believe in fairness and respecting the individual child's needs and wishes. I also think it's important that us adults model the behaviour for our children. I keep their safety and happiness as an up most priority and implement clear necessary boundaries. I believe in learning by play and song. There are always ways to make things fun and engaging. I encourage children to be healthy and active and model this behaviour my self.
My Experience
I have 16 years experience of working and caring for children as a Nanny, Au pair, Teacher and workshop facilitator. I have always received Nanny jobs through word of mouth but moved from London at the end of last year.
I have great references on request.
I am First Aid trained and I have successfully completed Health and Safety (including food hygiene) and DBS checked.
Previous experience includes
Regular babysitting for two children (aged 10mnths and 4yrs)
Au pair work looking after two boys 2 and 5yrs arranging activities,cleaning, cooking
Au pair full time looking after Girl 7yrs
Part time Nanny for 2.5years Looking after boy 3yrs, girl 9 months and new born baby including trips abroad
Part time Nanny for 6year old girl arranging activities,cleaning, bed time routine
I have also had experience running Dance and Drama workshops individually and for Think Big theatre. I have taught all curriculum subjects to children out of school for the Complete Works Creative Company including Homework support for Maths and English. I have worked extensively with Get cycling bringing workshops and events to schools and local communities.
